Why I fired my secretary .........................
Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.

I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, "Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a small present for me.

As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone "Happy Birthday."

I thought... Well, that's marriage for you, but the kids.... They will remember.

My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word.

So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, "Good Morning Boss, and by the way Happy Birthday! "

It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.

I worked until one o 'clock, when Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your Birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me."

I said, "Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!"

We went to lunch.

But we didn't go where we normally would go.

She chose instead a quiet bistro with a private table.

We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.

On the way back to the office, Jane said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day... We don't need to go straight back to the office, Do We ?"

I responded, "I guess not. What do you have in mind?"

She said, "Let's drop by my apartment, it's just around the corner."

After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said, " Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment.

I'll be right back." "Ok," I nervously replied.

She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake .. Followed by my wife, my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday.

And I just sat there...

On the couch...

Naked.

I've found a stray last Friday. I was on the way to pick my son up from school, and there was that dog coming out from nowhere running towards me. It just stood there and wouldn't stop sniffing my trouser leg (i've got a dog myself so it smelled her).
So i was standing there looking around for it's owner when i realised it had no collar on and no one in sight. I thought great, what i'm gonna do.

I have to get my son from school and there is no time to go back home with that dog.
It just followed me all the way to school and everyone was staring at me thinking that this was my dog. And i'm like no it's not!
My son got out of school and me standing with that Boxer, a female not knowing what to do with it.

I didn't want to leave it alone 'cos it crossed roads without caring and looked quite frightend, but at least it liked me.
I tried sit and stay and it listened. So at least it stayed with me.
Some people suggested to leave it on it's own, but common how can i do that?
It might get hit by a car and die or starve to death. No one seemed to care apart from me.

I tried to call my husband to get him to phone the RSPCA or someone who could get the dog. I'm waiting there and nothing happend. No one picked the phone up. So i got him to come with a spare collar and lead so we can get the dog home until someone picks it up.
But by the time he arrived my son spotted a policemen, so we got him to come over.
The headteacher and another of my son's teacher came out from school aswell to get a rope, so the dog doesn't run away. The policemen went inside the school to get a dog warden to pick the boxer bitch up.
God i tell you that was enough excitment for me on that day. I nearly ended up with another dog. blink.gif

You're so good natured staying around to make sure the dog was okay! biggrin.gif
I reckon I was a cat in my previous life, but if I was a lost dog from the UK,
I'd be sure glad it was you that found me and not some careless person.
WELL DONE!
And you stayed true to Jas!

I'm a big cat lover, but i never had one myself. When i was living with my dad i couldn't have one, 'cos he's allergic to them. After that i didn't had a pet at all, my ex hated pets, and now i still haven't got one, all the dogs we had/have would eat them dry.gif
My husband is the dog lover, so that's why we always end of with a dog.
But i like all animals, it's just that i better connect with certain types.
I start to like dogs more now than i used to, all thanks to my hubby, he infected me with that. biggrin.gif
But at least i've got my Guineapig "Gomez". He's a funny little fella.

I've got a few cat friends though, the next door neightbours one (called Tips), then a stray who always follows me home and a ginger cat that used to be near my son's old school.
So even i haven't got one myself i enjoy their company.
I always say to my husband that i can imagine me ending up as an old granny with 200 cats. laugh.gif

If i would ever come back as an animal to this planet, i'd like to be a cat or a snake.
I love them too, very fascinating animals. I have no fear of snakes but a huge respect.
Not sure if i'd ever like to own one.

Another type of wild animal i really like are Wolves. They have something about them i find very interesting. So no wonder that one of my favourite dog breed is the Saarloos Wolfhound. They are so difficult to get. Some countries still class them as an wild animal. Which is quite unfair. They have a better nature than some breed of dogs.
Can you tell, that i'd like to own one. wink.gif

But to the other subject now. I'm very much into reincarnation, past life, ..and that sort of stuff.
I had a past life regression last year, it was very interesting to see for myself who i was once. I got to find out 2 of my previous lifes. One in the 17th century, the other one in the 18th century.
Nothing can prepare you for that experience, it was certainly different from what i expected.
