I've text Andrew, but I can no longer make this.

I play basketball for Southampton City Council (my humble place of work) and a tournament which was originally scheduled for 19th February but cancelled, has been re-organised for 26th March. We've already paid entry fee's etc. I can't leave the team in the lurch for the sake of getting my B-Zoo drunk face on in London.

So really sorry about that. I was looking forward to it sad.gif

Is there really no chance? as we are a team that have known eachother for years but not hung out, there will be more games and frequently...... even if you don't tell them and call in sick. they will lose a reserve but at this meet if not we will lose the chance to meet a friend.

Wow. You would have to re-consider after that!

Well, I'm assuming there will be few of us hardcore types that will turn up anyway. If you'd like to accommodate me and move the meet to Saturday 2nd April, then I would certainly be there. However, I do not want to mess people around for the sake of my fail.

I am also OK with moving the meet on a week, seeing as so few people have yet to confirm they are going.

Adam??

Adam can't make it for the 2nd April. He has already booked 26th March off work.
So I'm thinking we should stick to the original date because of this.

There might be another meet-up in the summer, probably August.
Anyone who can't attend this one, can plan to come along to that one.

Oh.
Not sure we can cancel now cos an email has been sent to everyone on the mailing list.
I'm gonna have to persuade some people saying they might come to come!

The book of 'face' won't or they'd write on here that they were turning up. I'm not down hearted but I must admit this is a bit dissapointing as everyone had plenty of time to plan & prioritise! I suppose its just showing the lack of demand in recent years for this community.
