I know some of you have been looking for Jas. I'm not sure if this has been posted here before, but Jas has a new project called "Immortal Features"

OK, let's not mess this up. Seems that he's really into movies now. I guess if we now start sending them tons of emails about Babylon Zoo, Jas may freak out and disappear again. We were patient for years, why not wait and see what happens this one more time? Jas has changed and we should get used to that thought. Let go. Accept that he may not make music anymore.

btw. Jas looks...interesting now :-).

Thanks very much for telling us about this, MondoBizaro!

Thierry Klemeniuk is obviously a major player in the film industry and having an experienced person like him involved looks promising.
One of the Films is Bully. I've seen that and co-incidentally Brad Renfro who is in it tragically died earlier this week.

There is one other picture of Jas with a group of people on the Friends page (towards the end.) He looks a lot like Johnny Depp with that facial hair!

Edit: Jas's Wikipedia page now says "In late 1999 he moved to Chandigarh, India and spent time in ashrams working as an aid worker helping build shelters for deprived areas." Also "In 2002 he moved to Los Angeles where he has been writing film scripts and working with the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr., Stephen Dorff."

Good enough. Good to see what he looks like now. I'm not particularly interested in his movies though. I want to know what happened to the rest of the MS stuff.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Jas himself edited his Wikipedia page under the name "Villaskylight" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Villaskylight)

Either way I've been following this board for awhile and been trying to find Jas as well, so when I found him, this was the first place I thought to post.

I haven't tried to contact him, because, as was noted above, it may force him underground again....

Yeah he probably edited it himself or else someone who now knows him from the Immortal project has posted it. He should come on here and say hello rather than running from us.

It's cool to see him again, really... But I think it's another prove that he won't release a new BZ album anymore... Or any new music album sad.gif
That's sad... I still have my full collection of every CD in every possible version, I still really love his music... Anyway...

I also notice that the Babylon Zoo page has changed a bit. Saying that in 1999 KKK was released but Jas decided (on his own merit it would seem) that he wasn't going to promote the album as EMI weren't giving him any help after Clive Black was released. Then it goes on to talk about his aid work.

Oh crap...I guess there was no way we could have stopped that. What comforts me a little bit is that the part about CCD was not deleted or changed to say "he won't do it".

I understand his reaction, but I still can't figure what changed his attitude so much - from 'Jas, who answers his fans' questions' to 'Jas hiding somewhere, not wanting to have to do with his fans'. He could simply state "Leave me alone" somewhere.

I sure haven't. And besides what could anyone possibly say to him in an email that would make him think "Oh wow, I totally forgot that I have an album in the can. Maybe I should release it."

I don't think we'll hear any new BZ music anytime soon. There's always an outside chance someone will do a cover of a BZ song that'll hit huge or BZ song will appear in a key scene in a huge movie and revive mass interest in Jas and his music, but otherwise I think we'll just have to make do with what we already have...

But at least we know he's not living in Canada hiding from the world blink.gif

Hello people, happy new year to all! How it's going on?

It's very nice to see Jas again, that he's doing things that he apparently enjoys, and after reading what you have written, despite the fact I'm whishing like mad new music from him, I consider he doesn't owe anything to us. I mean, he released his music, we enjoyed it and we still do, don't we? But he has a life apart from Babylon Zoo, he's more than this concept, and he has personal and private space, he didn't sign a contract with us.

It seems that he prefers writting film scripts and he's more into producing movies instead of making music at the moment, which I respect and comprehend, although I understand that most of you would like a few words by him saying something about what he's on about and so, but he might feel a little annoyed or even a little scared if anyone from us behave like a teen fan, don't you think?

Anyway, I still adore his music and maybe will do in the future in a different way, and although I would love a new Babylon Zoo album, the truth is that I can't claim him anything, I just wish him good luck and the best in his life for all he gave me with his songs smile.gif.
