Ok I finally took it upon me to get some updates on Mr Mann. The Wandering Mann.

Anyway, yes he is still working with Hub Records. Apparently the website is in construction right now. Jose Marnitez is the law officer, its he who I spoke to. I think he had trouble understanding me but he has confirmed to me that yes he works with Jas and that Jas still works at Hub.

I told him I was a nobody, just a fan of the music, he said "well just call back a little bit later" so maybe theres still something to come of it. I should have asked if Jas was ok and if he was available to speak to but I just decided to leave it at that for now.

So there you have it folks, Jas is not dead, he still exists, Hub Records I think still exists and Jose, who I spoke to, works with him. It was actually really cool to hear him say "Oh yeah I work with Jas" laugh.gif

Im still beaming! I cant believe I got to speak to Jose! Thats like the closest possible person to Jas in this sense isnt it?

I'm gonna phone back in a months time if theres no new Hub Records website. I'm also going to e-mail Jose at his Arthouse e-mail address to see if he still gets e-mail on it. I'll introduce myself as the Scot he spoke on the phone to. Could save me a few quid on phone calls!

This is great news biggrin.gif..... Well done Mr Rydo. I know there were plans being made to hunt him down but it looks like this is no longer necessary biggrin.gif

However.........

I should have asked if Jas was available to speak.

These would of been the first words to part from my mouth......

We need to follow up on this..... any takers smile.gif

Its like 10am over there so maybe Jas isn't available right now. He did say to try a little later, but I think that means in a couple of weeks or so because the number I called was Jose's own personal line which has nothing to do with Hub I dont think.

He didnt actually understand what I was talking about when I was saying Hub Records, it was only when I mentioned Jas that he said "oohh yea! I work with jas.."

I was quite happy to know that he was ok. I think the website is under construction and has been for about 2 years. Time will tell.

Having thought about it, it is a bit promising, at least we can get in touch with someone connected to him, but at the same time, all he could say was that the site is in construction, and it doesnt take a lifetime to create a website. His words definately were "oh yeah, I work with Jazz" so they cant have broken off a partnership.

I fucking knew I'd get a hold of someone to confirm something! Ha! Im rather proud of myself!

easy tiger! i cant pester people like this or else they'll refuse to talk to me! I think Chris should phone him, introduce himself as the webmaster of the babylon zoo network, and say hes looking to get in contact with Jas Mann again. See what Jose can do. Theres no point in me saying it because im just a music fan at the end of the day.

Nice one Rydo!

I guess we are nearing the "Jas Mann Yearly Update." Let's hope, once out, Jas doesn't see his shadow.

Jas, if your reading this, dont make me phone Jose back!! I'll only ask him what you look like these days!

Argh! I wish he would just come on and post 1 thing. The media dont care about him anymore, the 1 hit wonder programmes have been made, the books have been written, Orson are the newest entrys, I just wish he would come on and say hello to his fans. We know he reads the board.

Jas told Christine in an email some time ago he had dreads. laugh.gif
Don't you eventually have to shave it all off?

You dont if you can keep them clean and tidy.

I always thought he had dreads when I was a kid. Its just 1 big long bit of hair though lol

I'd love to e-mail him but no doubt his email address would bounce!

Awesome news!!

Very good work Rydo.. smile.gif I don't like the fact that this Jose knew nothing about "Hub Records" though...

"Si si sir, I know Jas!" *Hangs up phone* "Quién es jas?" *Shrugs and forgets about it*

Thanks for the investigative work, rydo!

At least it puts some of my mind to rest knowing that something is happening with our friend, the J-Mann! smile.gif

2 weeks now since I spoke to him and still nothing has happened to the hub website. its status has changed though, it was "is ready for renewal or deletion" but is now "new website under construction and coming soon" so we could well hear from Jas soon enough. Would be brilliant.
