Well that sucks.

Obviously the London one is defunct. Seems the same for the American one. Would be interesting to find out. The only other possible way I assume is to find out a contact number for another company in the same building as Hub Records was and to just ask them if they've closed down, and if it has, when. Seems like a lot of tracing to find someone who clearly doesnt want to be found though.

I think you've been had mate. It seems all this work you have done here has gone unappreciated. I'd like to think that it was him who answered those questions though. If it wasnt, that is in very bad taste.

Well I feel more sympathy for the previous owner, I only came in a little while back. You could always try phoning the company, Art House Inc to see what you can find out. They're the domain owners afterall, and there's who used to be his attourney.

Similar numbers, Hub Records: 001 212 566 4546
Arthouse inc: 001 212 566 4500

It would seem maybe they were in the same building? Definitely your best bet as the company who originally set all this up (the legal side at least). And even if the email for Jose bounces back, someone else in there should have an idea of what happened to them....

I've decided to pin this topic for now. If anyone phones the Art House Inc number, let us know what you find out.

The number for Arthouse is the law officers number, I phoned them up but hung up once I realised I didnt know what to say. What should I ask them that they will answer? Would I just be bold about it and ask them whatever happened to Hub Records? I cant imagine they'd release any info on Jas Mann himself.

Ok I phoned up and just asked the person if they had any information they could give me on Hub Records, and before she said yes or no I was directed to a voice mail which said "Jose Marnitez is currently unavailable, leave a message after the tone" I never did though, I didn't know what to say.

So I can perhaps draw the conclusion that Hub Records might still be a company, Jose Marnitez is certainly the first point of contact for that, however it was an answering machine. Maybe I phoned at a bad time?

Jose Marnitez recorded his own voice on the mail box, so it must be his own personal line.

So if anyone wants to contact Jose!!!!!

I had to hang up though, that probably cost me about 5 quid cos I phoned from my mobile!

That's odd if the email address bounces back, yet the phone line still seems to exist though the official hub records numbers don't... maybe it's going bankrupt?

Well that could be the case. The number I phoned was the law office and they put me directly in touch with Jose Marnitez, so that prob means its his own number, like a mobile or a house number or something. The email address was for arthouse Inc, as Jimmy said earlier, the only real explanation there is that Jose no longer works there.

Definitely interesting. Thanks for doing the calls, it's been interesting to see where it would lead. Sadly not looking so good, but that's life I suppose.

Maybe he'll pop up in the "celebrity" big brother house next year. That always has the tendancy to find missing people

It does kinda suck sad.gif I didn't even get the chance to set up anything cool with him, like a new Q&A or interview.

But would we really want him to appear on something that people regard as a show losers go on to regain some recognition? wink.gif

I do never say it enough, but thank you so much Chris for making this place, otherwise BZ would be left out and we would have no place to stick at. You do an amazing job.
There is always hope for a new Q&A and for news, let's keep fingers crossed, and may that new BZ album be out sometime soon!!!!
