There was a big explosion at an oil depot here in the UK recently. They said on the news that it had been heard from Holland! I find it hard to believe. What do you think? link

Pah. I was awake at the time, because i was busy being violently ill. I didn't hear any explosions.

Some reports said it could be heard up to 100 miles away, but Holland is a lot further than 100 miles as far as I know.... of course, the sound might have travelled further with there being less objects in the way to disrupt the sound, etc.

Seems pretty unlikely though...

I didn't hear anything and I was in W. Yorkshire which is less than 100 miles away lol
but nasty smog cloud I heard about, poor France
