"a nice slice of 60s psych rock" with a punk edge, or something like that. that's what the lovely people at Artrocker magazine said about my fabby new single. Why not check it out?
Deja Vu and the bsides Training For 2012 and Big Jumper Day are now available on digital retailers right now. iTunes is probably the nicest of these services so here is a link to the blooming record:
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...34&s=143444

The video was filmed by Sam Terry and edited together (and coloured in) by Bob Williams, you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJm-t_vEWrM
The colouring in occurred this evening and it took so long to upload the thing afterwards that I ended up writing three new songs. Maybe you'll get to hear them one day. If Bob gets his way then one of them you definitely won't....

Please support the cause, tell your friends, and maybe someday soon we can have that number 74 hit we've craved for so long.
Cheers,
Adam smile.gif

The music itself is not bad actually. Instruments have been played good.
But the singing lacks of energy and most of the time i can't understand what you're singing. Not even sure if it's all in English or not biggrin.gif Maybe a little bit louder next time.
You can hear the music more than your voice. - Plase take it as a positive criticism. ;-)

And i want to add to that. - I'm very hard on most bands. I must be the female version of Simon Cowell hahahah
I'm not easy to please music wise.

That's fair enough, the fact that you like the way instruments were played is good enough for me. It's all in English apart from the phrase "Deja Vu", depending on how pedantic you want to be. biggrin.gif

Alright biggrin.gif

Hey, is that actually your first video or did you make any previous ones for the other singles?
And how many singles and albums are out so far?
I'm not up to date with your music releases.
But it's cool that you've got your stuff on Itunes and other sites.

It's the second proper video, there was one for "You Wouldn't Believe Me... If It Wasn't True". We're planning one for the follow up single too, should be even better. It will involve alcohol.
The "official" releases so far (like on itunes and things) have been an album called "Out With The New" from 2008 (that's on CD as well) which featured the singles "Master Yoga", "You Wouldn't Believe Me... If It Wasn't True" and "Infrared".
"Deja Vu" is the first single from the second album which is called "Second Sight" and shold be out in a couple of months. It's a bit delayed because I've been skint for the past few weeks and I haven't done the artwork yet because I've got a lot of uni work to do!

Thanks for your interest. smile.gif

Are you guys signed with a Record Label yet or are you doing everything yourself?
You should also add the first video on youtube.

How are you doing the artwork? Do you draw something by hand or is it digital artwork with a Software?

I know money can be a pain in the arse. I need to get some more stuff too, to keep my tattooing going. I've just started 2 months ago. You need to put a lot money into everything before you can even start. I guess it's the same with music.

Everything is on our own label: Parasite Stuff Recordings biggrin.gif
It is quite expensive yes, but i think it is worth it at this early point in career, because hopefully we will get round to making most of it back. It 's a very poncy thing to say but i don't want money to get in the way of our "art". I will work really shitty jobs to keep the band going if need be. I can't just settle down and work normally, that would be far too boring.
Artwork is mainly either photos treated on a computer or something I've drawn scanned in. There was a little bit of 3D digital artwork somewhere but it's not really what we're about so we mainly use photo's and scanned drawings.
That's cool about tatooing, I think if you've got the drive to do something then just spare whatever cash you can to keep it going. As long as I've got enough to pay the rent and eat then I'll be fine.... biggrin.gif

Interesting.

Yeah true, it's just very difficult especially with kids and all.
I understand you completly about the artistic freedom.

Have you also got a Manager or are you managing the band yourself?
And the own Record Label, is that burning your CD at home or is it more like your own Label being signed under a bigger Label?
I'm not always sure how it works in the music business.

Most of the management is done by me, I am the director of the record label as well. I have a couple of people doing a little bit of management as well (gigs mainly), but even then it's mainly me and Bob.
The master copy of the albums are burnt by me and then the artwork is put on a CD and the two are sent off to a CD pressing plant so that they're all done professionally and all the artwork is properly printed. I wouldn't really want to charge someone a fiver for something I'd made at home.
All the tracks are registered online with the company who supplies the information to the charts people as well and they've got all the information regarding songwriting credits and who played what etc, just so no-one can rip us off.
We're probably not actually big enough to really need to have done all this stuff but never mind, better safe than sorry. biggrin.gif

Yeah that's true. It's great to be professional from the start. ;-)
So no one can steal your songs in the future. You never know what might happen.
That's clever to think so far ahead.
