Ok.... This is something that we play on my university Rock Society forum every year. The game lasts about 6 months and it's great fun. It creates plenty of discussion, arguments and tantrums biggrin.gif . Previous winners of this accolade at Southampton have been -

2003/04 - Slayer
2004/05 - Metallica
2005/06 - Nine Inch Nails

Hopefully this forum will be able to get more worthy winners.

To start, we need 32 bands. Being as we only have 53 registered members and only around 15 are properly active, I suggest those that want to play list two bands each. After we have 32 bands, they will be placed in groups of four via an out of a hat draw in knock out style round of voting. Voting for each round lasts a week. The winning band goes on through to the next round etc..... until we get to a final.

A personal note to Chris, I'm going to need help from yourself running this. You have Administrator powers and will be able to set up the voting each week on this same thread. If I PM you Each round of bands, could you assist in setting them up??? That would be great!! smile.gif

So I'll start... my two bands I wish to enter are -
1) Pink Floyd
2) AC/DC

Next please.......

I can not believe it has taken this long to get a list of 32 bands on a music forum.... My goodness. To aid the process, so we can actually start.... I'm going to include our three previous winners from our Rocksoc....

1) Slayer
2) Metallica
3) Nine Inch Nails

If you don't want me to come up with the rest of the list myself, I suggest people who pop by this thread get posting.... Chris.... where are you man???

Its a fun game..... biggrin.gif
