QUOTE(Lord-Shiva @ Oct 30 2008, 01:25 PM) The inner City of Vienna is nice. Most Tourists go there. I like the old buildings and the gardens where the Museums are (There is one place called the The Butterfly House) and also Castle Schoenbrunn (there is a huge Zoo aswell) and Castle Belvedere (i used to live 5 minutes away) it's in the south of Vienna. It's romantic for couples especially when it's warm all the gardens look so nice, like in the old 17th century french time. You won't see much of that if you would go now. There is also another little interesting place called House of the Sea But at Christmas time, many Christmas markets have open. The one at the Rathaus is the best. You can get nice Mulletwines, hot chestnuts, hot dogs, hot corn on the comb, german gingerbread and other Christmas cookies, fresh cheese, sausages and other meat from farmers, Christmas presents and decoration. If you decide to go let me know. I can give you some advice for good Websites about the city. Or tell you how to get to places. If you like to got at summer time or just when it's warmer you have to visit the Vienna Prater, it's an Amusement park. When is your husband's birthday? Ok, i'm going to check my mails soon. Can't wait. My husband will be 30 on the 9th of February So it's a special one, definately thinking of taking him to Vienna,it sounds like a really cool place,I've always wanted to go too (bonus!!!) I'd love some websites to research in the meantime if you think of any cool ones, I'd like to feel like we are locals while we are there, to really get a good sense of the place. You got my mails-yeah I agree with you, that other person (G) doesn't seem that special and my freind-well she's gorgeous looking-like Amrita Rao-so I don't see what she'd be up to with him. I text her today and she text back saying that he got a bit wierd and stalkerish with her-she's exactly that kind of person, too sweet to lay down definate boundaries. Nothing happened with them-she didn't even meet him in the end. I know what you mean about Jas's sisters-I always wonder were they unbelieveable looking-cause if the boy (Jas) in the family turned out that beautiful-the girls must be absolutely gorgeous. I'd say he's close to them- one or 2 of them may have married locally in the Birmingham area, but you wouldn't know them now by name because they would have their husbands names I suppose. The person I'd love to see is his Mum-I love on KKG the comic-saying he's coming home-and his cute little Mum is waiting in the door for him in her Sari, and he's coming up to her from his motorbike. Uugh it's Halloween tomorrow-lots of kiddieminsters (not cute ones like your boys!) banging down the door for sweeties! But I love Halloween-My husband and I are going to a fancy dress- I'm Pocahontas (He's so funny he says I can be PocahontASS-cuz I have the ass) and he'll be John Smith-It's a couples themed party! -------------------- "Today I sleep in a chair by the window....it felt as if you'd returned. I thought that you were standing over me...when I woke there was no one there... I STILL love you BOY FROM MARS"

That's a useful Website about the City http://www.wien.gv.at/english/ and a good one for Tourists http://www.wien.info/article.asp?IDArticle=9010 a bit of information on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna about public transport http://www.wienerlinien.at/wl/ep/home.do?tabId=0 there are trams, buses and the underground. And of course trains going from and to Vienna. Info about the Airport if you're interested http://www.viennaairport.com/jart/prj3/via...rve-mode=active Some pictures and information of the most popular buildings and places http://www.wien-vienna.com/ Cheap flights from and to Vienna (usually from/to London) http://www.flyniki.com/en/book/flight.html http://www.aua.com/uk/eng?OSOrigin=London&...KW=red%20ticket and a German Airline has good prices too. http://www.airberlin.com/ I used all of them in the past. That's my favourite place for coffe and cakes http://www.aida.at (not in English) It has it's price but it is really the best in Vienna. I've been to a couple of places in the inner City around a cathedral called St.Stephan's. They have shitloads of them, but i didn't like them at all. There you can have a look at their stuff in advanced http://www.austriangrocery.com/shop/index.php?cPath=394 Not all cakes are on that Website as far as i can see. My favourites are the Strawberry cake and one called Biedermeier, very very sweet, but god it's good. The best coffes are Wiener Melange (it's Cafe Mocca), Cappucino and Hot Chocolate is nice too. Aida was always mine and my mum's favourite place to hang out after shopping Halloween, i know. I already had a few kids on the door. Hopefully i've got enough sweets. I bought them weeks ago, to make sure i've got something at home. I haven't decided yet if i go out with the boys aswell. I've got some costumes. I agree about Nikita being a breath of fresh air I think it's a shame that the forum depresses you.
It's probably why we had months of hardly anyone talking. I don't subscribe to this "us and them" mentality though, the whole point of a forum is to express opinions. -------------------- "tell all your friends you're an angel"
