Now that I am head of a hugely successful record label I have access to a vast wealth of information on songs that have been released. Apparently Babylon Zoo released a track called "Get Outta My Way". Anyone know what this is? Maybe the track that was used on that driving show?
"Parallel Lines" is on there (two versions), but no "Love Lies Bleeding". There's a track called "Electronic Information" as well but I assume this is just another Spaceman mix I don't have.

Never mind, I've found out what everything is. Apparently there was a whole album done for WEA in 1995 with the following tracklisting:
1. Spaceman
2. Zodiac Sign
3. Paris Green
4. Get Outta My Way
5. Confused Art
6. Caffeine
7. Parallel Lines
8. Don't Feed The Animals
9. Fire Guided Light
10. I'm Cracking Up I Need A Pill

so, basically the same but without Animal Army, Is Your Soul For Sale or TBWTXRE. interesting.

and there WAS a Fire Guided Light single planned for 1994 and "Get Outta My Way" was going to be one of the bsides.

Anyone got this track?

CatCo so it's guaranteed accurate. The data would have been supplied by WEA prior to their planned release date for the original album. Trust me, it will exist.
Christine had some WEA stuff, maybe she will know?

Oh and the planned release date was 09/10/95 and the original album title was "The Boy With X-Ray Eyes", so there's no "The" between With and X-Ray. There's a catalogue number for it but not a barcode because it was never released.

Get Outta My Way apparently lasts 4:54 and it has it's own ISRC number as well.

I bet theres loads of stuff..... its all gone. for example the boy with the xray eyes video cant be found, neither can the original spaceman video. not in good conditio. loads of live material. sometimes i feel doubtfull if even jas stillhas retained copies of these

BZ is the BEST thing that ever happened to the Alt-Rock genre yet nobody seems to notice!
But when bands like Muse, Klaxons, Placebo and Mika come along everyone's like " oh, we like this new quirky eccentric stuff" and I am sitting there thinking "Where the bloody hell were you when Babylon Zoo was around?!?!?"

Or possibly someone who worked for WEA.
Anyone know what was on the WEA album sampler? I'm sure someone mentioned they had one somewhere.

The barcode, ISRC and apparent tracklisting, yeah. But I think it's slightly wrong as it looks more like an album sampler.

Apologies, the Spaceman bside was going to be "Arthur Meets The Spaceman".

I have a copy of that spaceman - arthur meets the spaceman version but i cant remember what single it appeared on? was it one of the TBWTXRE singles?

I have the Videoclip for the Boy with the X-Ray Eyes somewhere, i just have to find the CD. biggrin.gif I'll let you know when i do. Have All the Money's gone aswell if i can remember right.

And that was all ment to be on a CD? Would be amazing if someone gets their hands on that one.
I'll keep my eyes open.

Which one is the right title for the song? Is it the same one?

I would imagine Get Outta My Way and Gets In My Way are essentially the same song. Whether the one Helpful provided us with was later rerecorded for the unreleased album we shall probably never know.
I doubt any retail copies of the album exist, but I would guess there are some mastered promos lying around somewhere.
