I've been contacted by someone on discogs who wants to know what mix this is - clip: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jcjgtt

they said they recorded it off the radio in 1996 and wants to know the name of it and if it appeared on any releases

the mix has similarities to the fifth dimension and the zupervarian mix but there are differences I think

It sounds very similar to the Fifth Dimension mix but slightly tinkered with.
Maybe it's the Kiss Mix or Capital Mix - I haven't heard them.

I sent that person the Capital Mix but they say it's not that

"The mix that I'm looking for is quite short (I don't have the entire version anymore). The Zupervarian mix is similar to it (the start is the same) but the version I'm looking for doesn't have the verses included. I have collected a lot of different mixes of the track and none of them are the exact same.

You can hear at the start of the sample the same vocals saying "Spaceman" that were also used in the fifth dimension remix at around 2:46. The first half of the track repeats the "I always wanted you to go" part of the tune and the end bit that I sent you was the first time the "spaceman spaceman" being repeated was played. It was a bit repetitive and that is probably the reason that it was kept short."

dude that was a mix that kiss fm played back in the late 90's. believe me i've searched and searched for that version and i've even phoned kiss and spoke to the dj who remember the version and told me it was a version made for kiss only and that they no longer had in their archives sad.gif
